Equalities and Diversity

Equality and Diversity is very important to us and we reflect this in how we operate as a landlord, an employer and within the local community. We work with staff, residents and partners to create a Diversity Strategy which helps recognise what we already do, and how we can improve our services.

We are accredited as part of the “Positive about Disabled People” Two Ticks programme; we have signed up to Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme; and the Dementia Action Alliance.  We offer a range of resident involvement opportunities, including groups for young people; people with disabilities; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender people; and people from ethnic minorities.

Equality Act 2010

We are committed to reducing inequality, preventing unfair discrimination and harassment and celebrating diversity.  We ask residents to give us information on their identity, based on the Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics, so we can monitor satisfaction survey responses to check that all residents are equally satisfied and so we can invite residents to events that may be relevant to them.
