Celebrating the Big Green Week: Plogging in Holdbrook

Tuesday, 18 June 2024

We celebrated this year’s Big Green Week by collecting an impressive 98.4kg of rubbish from the Holdbrook Estate, Cheshunt!

The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

As a local affordable housing provider, B3Living made its contribution to Broxbourne’s 2024 Big Green Week by offering local people an open garden day at the Harmony Garden, Cheshunt, alongside local charity Wyld Edges, as well as a plogging event for B3Living staff in Holdbrook.

With over 15 colleagues participating, the plogging event was a success not only in bringing about a cleaner environment for our local community, but also in providing an opportunity to communicate with our customers.

Our Community Development Manager, Helen Wright said:

"Plogging is a great way to keep our environment clean while exercising and getting to know our residents."

At B3Living, we are committed to protecting our environment and building a sustainable future for the benefit of our communities.

A young resident approached us to thank us for our efforts to keep the estate tidy. It was very rewarding to hear that our work is appreciated and makes a difference to the community.
