We caught up with Natanya from Cheshunt to see how she felt after upgrades to her neighbourhood.
These changes were part of a project called Safer Streets.
Safer Streets funding from the Home Office has transformed two of our estates in Cheshunt. Working with Herts PCC, Broxbourne Borough Council, and Herts Fire and Rescue, the project looked at ‘designing out’ low-level crime, as well as bringing the community together by redesigning the public space.
Residents are feeling positive, and, whereas before it was a weekly burden, fly-tipping is no longer an issue here. Find out more about the project here.
