Remembering Srebrenica

Remembering Srebrenica

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

B3Living, Ethnic Minority Association in Broxbourne, CVS Broxbourne and East Herts and B3Living are inviting you all to the event called:

"Remembering Srebrenica"

This year is the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. The Srebrenica massacre-killing of more than 7000 Bosnian Muslim boys and men was perpetrated by Bosnian Serb forces in Srebrenica, a town in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, in July 1995. In addition to the killings, more than 20,000 civilians were expelled from the area - a process known as ethnic cleansing. The massacre was the worst episode of mass murder within Europe since World War II.

Our event will be an opporunity to come together and remind ourselves that there is still a lot to do to build a fairer society.

The event will be attended by Dzemal Paratusic who fled Bosnia in the 90's.

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be a B3Living resident to attend.

The event will take place on Thursday 16th July 2015, 6pm-7pm @ B3Living in the conference room.

Address: Scania House, 17 Amwell Street, Hoddesdon, EN11 8TS
