Resident LGBT Allies programme

Supporting the right to be yourself

Do you want to make a stand for equality?

Two years ago we launched our Allies programme to support and stand alongside Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) colleagues.

We now want to get you, our residents involved!

If you would like to be a LGBT Ally, please contact Catherine Bailey on 01992 453 779 or email catherine.bailey@b3living.org.uk and for showing your support we will send you a free LGBT Allies pin badge.

You will then be invited to events and forums and have the opportunity to share your views and suggest new ideas.

What is an LGBT ally?

"Ally" is a term that is used to describe people who may not identify as LGBT and who believe that LGBT people should experience full equality in all walks of life.

Why be an LGBT ally?

  • You want to show support.
  • You have witnessed homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying or inappropriate comments and want to show publicly you don't accept this.

"I'm extremely proud to be an LGBT ally. It's so vitally important that our workplace and the communities we serve are inclusive to everyone. Standing up for LGBT equailty is something I can do to make this happen."  - John Giesen, Chief Executive.
