B3Living has completed on the sale of its shares in the Wheat Quarter, a large development site in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
The Broxbourne based housing association is proud to be involved in a project that will make a real difference to the lives of the Welwyn community. The Wheat Quarter site can now deliver more for residents. It will offer affordable housing, sustainable employment, a museum and a new community building.
The project has been hugely successful, and B3Living received their £5m investment back after just 6 months. The housing association has now sold all its shares for a further £11m which will be used to support their private development company, Everlea, to make a difference to the lives of people in Broxbourne.
Everlea is now open for business and actively looking for more commercial joint ventures with like-minded partners in the community to build more homes.
B3Living plans to deliver 800 homes over the next 7 years to make a real and lasting difference to the housing crisis in the borough of Broxbourne.
Alex Shelock, B3Living’s Executive Director (Finance) says: “B3Living’s involvement in the Wheat Quarter project is due to our innovative and commercial values and demonstrates our continued efforts to find innovative solutions to the housing crisis and make a real difference to local lives.”
