Value for Money

Everything we do is about creating great places where people want to live. We see Value For Money (VFM) as central to this aim.

It is reflected in our 7 Year Strategy and our Annual Report. We will use VFM savings to support our plans for growth by acquiring and building homes.

It is important to us to provide great services which are efficient and effective. We aim to pay the right price for the goods and services that we buy, whilst acknowledging that the right price is not always the cheapest. Through our community investment we aim to benefit as many people as possible in a diverse number of ways. 

VFM 2015/16

Our main VFM themes are:

  • Understanding our assets and managing them effectively
  • Generating additional income in innovative ways

  • Maximising our current income and proactively supporting residents affected by welfare reform  
  • Identifying areas where costs can be reduced and efficiencies made
  • Reviewing our procurement arrangements  

  • Demonstrating the social return on our investment
