16 April 2020, Thank you

Today, we celebrate World Voice Day and this year’s theme is ‘Focus on Your Voice.’

“In times of crisis, such as the current one, the human voice can, above all, unite and comfort people.”

This year, we have decided to use our voice to thank all of our key workers on the frontline, our customers and our partners. We would also like to acknowledge our colleagues here at B3Living for their hard work, determination and commitment. As usual, we unite in our usual ‘one-team’ way and push through these unprecedented times and have adapted to find new ways of working.

To name a few, here is some of the feedback we have received from customers highlighting the hard work from our colleagues over the past few weeks.

A thank you to our Independent Living Team who have called all our older residents to make sure they feel supported…

"You are doing a sterling job; I really mean it. Outstanding. We are very grateful and what you are doing will be remembered when all of this is over.

"You're all very important to us, I hope that you all know that, this phone call to see how I am has made my day."

A thank you to our Estates and Repairs teams who have been adapting to find new ways of clearing waste and keeping areas clean and safe whilst following government guidelines…

“Thank you to the caretakers working at Holdbrook yesterday. Apparently, the bin chute had been blocked all weekend and rubbish was building up.”

“A brief note to say a huge thank you for arranging for the reported fly-tip to be collected yesterday. Please also thank your Operatives for taking all of the extra items which had been added to the fly-tip during Tuesday evening & Wednesday morning, very much appreciated. Take care, stay safe & stay well."

A thank you to our Income, Housing Support and Voids/Lettings teams who have been supporting people who urgently needed a home or who have been impacted…

“Hi Nicola, the move went as well as it could under the circumstances and with two kids tugging at our feet at every move! Thank you for everything you have done it really is appreciated.”

“Thank you for everything. I didn’t know where to turn, I have no friends or family and I didn’t know how I was going to get through this. I feel like I have gained a friend today. I didn’t know I could have got that and by you sorting it out for me I can see a way forward.”

Whilst we would not be able to list all of the incredible work both the teams and other individuals have been doing behind the scenes here at B3Living. We would just like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all of our colleagues for continually supporting the organisation and our customers at this time.

As the Queen herself recently voiced, “We will succeed, and better days will come.”
