9 March 2020, COVID update

As the news about the coronavirus (or COVID-19) develops, we appreciate that people may have questions or concerns.

Our services are running as usual. Over the past few weeks, we have taken steps to plan and prepare for possible situations. As this is a global health threat, many factors are beyond our control, but we will do all we can to avoid any disruption to our services.

We recommend that our staff and customers follow NHS guidance to help prevent the spread of illnesses.

In any scenario that we find ourselves facing low staff numbers, we would have to prioritise:

  • Care for our vulnerable customers.
  • Emergency repairs.
  • Caretaking visits for essential waste removal and hygiene-related cleaning.

For now, our approach will be to stay vigilant and make sure that we are quick to respond should the level of risk change.

We are following the government and NHS guidance closely and will use this page to keep our customers and partners updated.
