Grass cutting update

Thursday, 18 July 2024

Thank you for your patience as we work to get this service back on track. We hear your frustration and will be keeping this service as a top priority until it’s back to the standard that you (and we) expect.

Latest update

Current status

By now, all areas should have had at least one - if not two - grass cuts since May. This would’ve been either by the Council or through our subcontractors - Lawn Enforcement and JN Gardening.

If you believe your area hasn't received any cuts since May, please let us know.

Our next priority is to cut the grass again. July's wet weather has been ideal for grass growth, so we have asked our subcontractors and the council to work through as quickly as they can to keep on top of it.

Update on our current contractor

Nurture (formerly CGM) won’t be cutting any more grass for us this season. We have been meeting regularly with them, building a case regarding their performance and are following formal procedures.

We will keep you updated on the future of this contract.

Will I be receiving credit for the service I haven’t received?

Yes. Affected customers will receive a 9-week credit for the period between April 1 and May 31, 2024, when the grass cutting service wasn’t provided by the contractor. This will appear as a credit note on your account.

You will receive a letter with more details by the end of July.
