From April 2013 Disability Living Allowance (DLA) will be replaced by Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for those aged between 16 and 65. If you are already receiving Disability Living Allowance you will not automatically be transferred to PIP.
What are the changes?
Working age Disability Living Allowance (DLA) will be based on medical assessment. If you are under retirement age and your circumstances change after October 2013, you will need to re-apply for a personal independence payment.
