Put the pests to rest

We always want you to feel comfortable in your home and we know how unsettling having pests can be. That's why it's important we clarify what we can and can't help with.

B3Living are responsible for:

  • Rats
  • Mice
  • Cockroaches
  • Pharaoh ants

Flats, maisonettes and internal communal areas only

Customers are responsible for:

  • Bees
  • Wasps
  • Bed bugs
  • Ants
  • Moths
  • Household beetles
  • Spiders

Internal

  • B3Living will attend to certain pests in internal communal areas. The pests are: 
  • Rats
  • Mice
  • Cockroaches
  • Pharaoh ants

External

  • We don't treat pests in external communal areas or gardens
  • If pests are accessing a property through holes in the building fabric, we will carry out works are to prevent pests from continuing to gain access.
  • We won't take action against other pests (e.g. pigeons) unless they have damaged or are at serious risk of damaging the structure of the building. An inspection will be carried out by us to determine whether this is the case. 

Tips for preventing pests

Although the days of sunshine this summer have been far and few between, the humid climate creates an attractive environment for vermin in bin areas. We've put together a few tips to help you put the pests to rest.

  • Try to reduce food waste. 
  • Never leave food uncovered inside the home.
  • Rinse polystyrene food trays and other food packaging.
  • Squeeze out the air from bags and tie them tightly.
