• Bus - Get free bus travel in Hertfordshire at any time and free off-peak travel between 9.30 am and 11 pm weekdays and all day during the weekend and bank holidays across England.
• Train - The 60+ Oystercard allows free travel on TfL services from 09:00 on weekdays, as well as anytime on weekends and bank holidays.
• Car parking - The Blue Badge scheme helps you park closer to your destination if you’re disabled.

• Age UK Hertfordshire is one of the largest charities providing services to older people in Hertfordshire. They offer a great selection of activities for older people in the area. 
• Wormley and Turnford Big Local is a resident-led community development project. A community centre is a place for everyone to meet, hold events and engage in activities.
• Local lunch clubs are fantastic for older people in Hertfordshire looking to socialise. 
• Active Herts is a project that ran in Broxbourne, Hertsmere, Stevenage and Watford from 2015 to 2018, and supported more than 3000 people to become more active and to develop healthy habits.

We believe people should be able to live in their own homes as independently as possible for as long as they want.

We may be able to provide a range of minor adaptations to help residents improve their quality of life, such as:  

• Handrails
• Lever taps to washbasins, sinks and baths; 
• Grab rails
• Additional rails to stairs

If you need a major adaptation, like a level access shower or a stairlift, then we will work with an occupational therapist to get the best solution. However, you will need to talk to your local authority first.
