Gardens, fences and sheds

Gardens, fences and sheds

If you have a garden, you’ll never have to pay repair or maintenance costs for something that we are responsible for, which is why it is important that we're transparent.

We're responsible for

  • Cutting grass
  • Maintaining trees & shrubs
  • Repairing & replacing fences

*Communal areas & Independent Living schemes only*

We'll ask you to maintain

  • Trees & hedges
  • Grass & weeding
  • Pests/vermin
  • Decking and wooden sheds/outbuildings
  • Keeping external areas free from litter and waste furniture.
  • Repair/replacement costs for damage to fences, walls, and hedges.

If a fence or wall runs adjacent to a public footpath, roadway, the potential risks will need to be considered.

Please don't leave plants or flower pots in communal halls or walkways. They could be a trip hazard and pose an issue during a fire.

If you'd like to install a shed or greenhouse, you'll need permission from our property services team first. You can speak to them on 01992 453700 option 2 or on our live chat.

We understand that having pests in your garden can be quite unsettling. However, please note that we don’t handle garden pests as part of our services. For more details, you can check out our pest control policy here.

You can report issues via the myB3Living app, live chat, social media, or phone (01992 453 700). We're available Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, excluding bank holidays.
